Happy 2nd Anniversary Bitty Giant!

This year Bitty Giant celebrated a milestone. Two years ago, I decided to take on a challenge and share my love of crafting. At the beginning of August 2014 I was thinking about starting my own business. I wanted to challenge myself and share my creativity to the world. Bitty Giant has changed over the past 2 years and has grown into something more than just candles. We have become an inspiration to many other individuals to start a new hobby. We have helped people with marketing advice for their personal business.

Bitty Giant Candles has been a blessing in disguise. We love the direction our candle company is headed and have embraced the journey we have gone through and look forward to what’s in store for our future.

While celebrating our birthday we would like to I would like to take you through the history of Bitty Giant the last 2 years.

LABELS/PACKAGING

At the very beginning we were super excited to just create something and list it on ETSY. We had no prior experience with selling anything online and had very little direction. In this very first picture you will see that the label is made right from a mailing label (partially printed and partially hand drawn). As years passed we did some research and found a great online source to make our labels stand out more with a complete wrap a round label. In the past Nick and I have spent many nights hand cutting our wrap a round labels. Also the tops of the tins didn’t have our signature balloon label until January 2015. As you will see the aesthetic of our candle has changed.

ASTHETICS

As you can see recently we have been designing our labels with more focus on the font and name of each candle. Nick and I have collaborated using the Bitty Giant logo and the newest idea with the fragrance name on the front. This gives the candle duality in the design and feel of the product without giving the candle a box or a package to be sold in. Since our candles are completely covered with a label there is no need for extra packaging. Great for the environment!

FRAGRANCES

This would have to be the hardest topic of all to talk about since it literally took almost two years to get it right. We want to keep our fragrance line simple. We want people to know our fragrances by name. Over the years we have had numerous changes in the names and in what fragrances we offer. We are firm believers in quality, not quantity. If you browse ETSY you will probably stumble upon dozens of shops that sell candles. Many of those stores will offer up to 50 different fragrances to choose from. They pretty much name each fragrance the same (ex Monkey Farts, Sugar Plum, Georgia Peach etc). Bitty Giant offers year round fragrances as well as some for the fall and winter holidays.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

We are very proud of the progress we have made and want to show you some of our best accomplishments in a few more pictures. We couldn't have done it without our customers, family and friends. We would also like to extend our thanks to John and January from Jackalope Coffee and Tea in Bridgeport for hosting so many art and craft shows.
